Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder producing 290 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque (EA888 engine), it can be paired up with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Power is distributed to all four wheels via Volkswagen’s Haldex based 4MOTION four-wheel-drive system.
We most likely will not see the SportWagon here in North America so we will have to settle for the Golf R in 3 and 5 doors.
