76,200 of the vehicles were sold in the US.
Models included are 125i, 320i, 328i , 520i, 528i, X1,
28i, 20i, 16i, X3, 20i, 28i, Z4, 28i, 20i, 18i.
Owners will be notified by BMW through mail if their car is among
those affected.
BMW recommends that if the driver loses power-brakes to pull over and call for roadside
assistance.
