I will only be comparing North American engines due to the information being US based in imperial measurements. The remainder of the vehicle interior and exterior dimensions should be similar among international markets.
Vehicle prices range from $13000 to just over $20000 US depending on the transmission and vehicle options chosen. Ratings are out of 10 and are provided by users of these vehicles, everyday people like you and me.
The Hyundai Accent has the most powerful engine, the Nissan Versa Note has the largest interior both passenger and cargo. What is unusual is that the Versa Note has the least amount of hip room but has the most rear legroom. So if you are tall and thin this may be a good subcompact for you.
One other item is the stock tires, they are normally 14" or 15", 16" tires are generally on option these type of vehicles. Fuel consumption numbers on all these vehicles is excellent for North American standards. European readers please keep in mind that our regular fuel here in North America has only 87 octane versus the 95 octane there in Europe. Thus North American production vehicles require different engines (generally larger) to produce the same power as that of a smaller European spec engine.
